The grant covers full website redesign services, including consultation, design, and implementation, to help these organizations amplify their mission and connect with their audience effectively.

Grant Criteria

The Community Impact Digital Transformation Grant provides organizations with a free professional website redesign to enhance their online presence and amplify their commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR) or community engagement. To ensure fairness, transparency, and alignment with the grant’s objectives, applicants must meet the following criteria and agree to the associated financial commitment for hosting and maintenance services.

Eligibility

1. Business Size and Type

  • Must be a small business or non-profit organization with fewer than 50 employees and annual revenue under $1 million.
  • Must be a legally registered business operating in the United States.

2. Commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility or Community Engagement:

  • Must demonstrate a clear and active dedication to corporate social responsibility or community engagement. Examples include:
    • Support for local charities or community development projects (e.g., donations, partnerships, or sponsorships).
    • Sustainable business practices (e.g., eco-friendly operations, waste reduction, or use of sustainable materials).
    • Employee-driven volunteer programs or community service initiatives.

3. Existing Website Design

  • Must have an existing website in need of a redesign, demonstrating outdated design, poor user experience, or lack of mobile optimization.
  • Applicants must provide the URL of their current website for evaluation.

4. Application materials

  • Submit a completed application form, including:
    • A 250-word statement describing the business’s CSR or community engagement efforts and how a redesigned website will amplify these initiatives.
    • A brief explanation of the current website’s limitations and desired improvements.
    • Documentation or evidence of CSR/community engagement activities (e.g., photos, receipts, letters of acknowledgment from community partners).

5. Financial Commitment

  •  Full Disclosure: Grant recipients must agree to pay for 12 months of website hosting, maintenance, and monitoring services at a rate of $39.99 per month, totaling $479.88 for the year. This fee ensures the redesigned website remains secure, functional, and optimized, covering:
    • Website hosting on a reliable platform (if needed).
    • Regular maintenance, including software updates and bug fixes.
    • Continuous monitoring for security threats and performance issues.
  • Recipients must sign a contract agreeing to this financial obligation prior to receiving the grant.
  • Payment must be made prior to the redesign process begins.

6. Use of Grant

  • The grant covers the full cost of a professional website redesign, including consultation, design, development, and implementation (valued up to $5,000).
  • The website will include features to highlight CSR/community engagement, such as dedicated impact pages, integration of ESG metrics, or volunteer event promotion, tailored to the business’s needs.
  • Recipients must agree to collaborate with the grant provider’s design team and provide necessary content (e.g., text, images, logos) within agreed timelines.

7. Selection Process

  • Applications will be evaluated based on:
    • Strength and authenticity of CSR/community engagement efforts (50%).
    • Need for website redesign and potential impact of the redesign on the business’s mission (30%).
    • Clarity and feasibility of the application proposal (20%).
  • Preference will be given to businesses demonstrating measurable community impact or innovative CSR practices.
  • A panel of reviewers will select recipients, with decisions communicated within 30 days of the application deadline.

8. Additional Requirements

  • Recipients must agree to allow the grant provider to feature their redesigned website and CSR story in promotional materials (e.g., case studies, press releases).
  • Businesses must maintain active operations and their CSR/community engagement commitment for at least 12 months post-redesign.
  • Applicants must not have received a similar website redesign grant from another organization within the past 24 months.
